This 5-day class will be held at the Regional Center for Agriscience and Career Advancement (RCASCA). Students will explore fields related to animal and veterinary science. Hands-on activities will include working with large and small animals, conducting animal physicals, and evaluating animal health. The students will learn about feeding and caring for animals, how to analyze animal health, and how to complete simple veterinary skills such as bandage application and muzzling. Students will have an opportunity to tour the NCCTC Agriscience Program’s barn and work directly with animals housed there. Students will need boots for entering the barn and handling animals.
